From transporting passengers around Bundaberg in the 1950s to our modern fleet in operation now, Duffy’s Buses has seen a lot.
Duffys Buses story
Tom and Marie Duffy purchased the business in 1954 and went about creating a service that met the needs of the time. Schools, Urban, Charters, Workers and Movie Picture Buses were in great demand before the car become a more popular means of transport.
After Tom’s passing in 1975, Paul and Lyn Duffy eventually took the reins in 1981. Charter and School services were the predominant focus early on, nevertheless, they went about creating one of the most modern regional urban bus networks in Queensland. From the mid-1990s Duffy’s Buses provided the people of Bundaberg with a low floor, Disability Accessible vehicles long before mandated.
