QLD Transport has two assistance schemes available for school students.
Bus travel assistance application this application is for fully eligible students who live either over 3.2klms (primary) or 4.8klms (high school) from their nearest state school.
And
Bus travel assistance safety net application this application is for students who live too close to their nearest state school to qualify under the bta application.
The parent/guardian must hold a current Centrelink health care card /pension card/veterans affairs pensioner card or a care and protection order from the dept of child safety to be eligible under this scheme.
