2012 will see some major changes to school travel. Duffy's City Buses is introducing new "School n Go' bus passes for all students who wish to travel on our service in 2012. Every student will be required to
- Be registered correctly with Queensland Transport and Duffy City Buses
- Be isssued with a "School n Go" bus pass
- Have credit on the bus pass if required.
EXISTING STUDENTS FULL STAS (do not pay a fare). If you are an existing student who
is correctly and currently registered and are not required to pay a fare, you will automatically be updated to a 'School N Go' bus pass for 2012. The itialial bus pass will be free of charge but any subsequent passes issued with be at a cost of $20.00. These bus passes are for school use only, this means it will only cover the cost of travel to and from school. Any alterations to this route will have to be paid for. The new bus passes have the facility to put 'credit' on the card to pay for such travel. The amount of credit is totally up to the individual and may be used on any Duffy's Buses Service.
Students are advise check with our office as to whether they are correctly registered. This will ensure all bus passes will be issued. Please note that if you have changed address since October 2011 or changed schools since October 2011 you will need to check with the office to see if you are correctly registered. Students who were in grade 7 in 2010 will need to fill out a new BTA form and will not automatically be updated due to change of schools.
EXISTING STUDENTS PART STAS (pay a partial fare to get to school). Students who are correctly and currently regisitered but are required to pay a fare to go to the school of their choice (as apposed to your nearest school as with non payers) will need to contact the office. These students will be issued new bus passes free of charge but will be required to 'top up' their bus pass with credit to pay for all additional travel before the pass is issued.
NEW STUDENTS 2012 - Any students who wish to travel on our service in 2012 and has not done so before must contact the office.
