Did you know you could be eligible for FREE travel to and from school?
In Queensland it is compulsory for children to attend school at certain
stages of their life. The Queensland Government provides educational
facilities throughout the state. In areas where it is not feasible for
the government to provide these facilities, assistance with school
transport costs is provided under the School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS).

All students traveling on Duffy's City Buses for school purposes
must swipe their bus pass each time they board any bus. Swiping the bus
pass is like paying a fare and not swiping the bus pass is like fare
evasion. Students who do not swipe their bus pass for more than three
consecutive days will receive a warning slip by the bus driver. The
warning is really just a reminder to parents that the student needs to
replace their bus pass if they want to continue receiving bus travel
assistance from the Queensland Government.
